Everything You Call Me Is Temporary... so kinda fuck off

Names have power. Ask any witch, rapper, or that kid in high school who called himself “The Oracle” and somehow got away with it. Back when I went by Mxnzi Le Poete, it was because it fit. I was knee-deep in poetry, heartbreak, and rooftop conversations about life, death, and whether love was just a chemical reaction or something you felt in your bones. It sounded artsy. Mysterious. The kind of name that’d be scribbled in a stranger’s journal after an open mic night. But life moves. Energy shifts. People outgrow clothes, heartbreak playlists, coping mechanisms, and sometimes… names.

That’s where Mvaknow came in.

It wasn’t just a rebrand; it was a rebirth. See, “Mva” comes from “move.” A reminder that nothing stays still. That we’re all in a state of becoming. Shifting, evolving, shedding old skins like stubborn habits. And “know” is exactly what it sounds like; knowledge, wisdom, clarity, those cosmic downloads you get at 3AM after your third glass of something cheap but holy (inyundo). Together, Mvaknow is me moving with intention, stepping into the versions of myself I used to be too scared to claim.

What’s crazy is, this whole thing feels a lot like quantum physics. Yeah, I said it. Stay with me. In quantum mechanics, there’s this idea that particles exist in multiple states at once until someone observes them. Only then do they decide what they wanna be. That’s how I’ve felt my whole life. At any given moment, I’m a poet, a musician, a troublemaker, a healer, a lover, a metaphysical theorist, and your favorite mistake. All those possibilities floating around like quantum confetti, and when you pull up to a show, hit play on a track, or catch me in a deep convo about intention and the non-physical realm, boom ; I collapse into one version of myself in that moment.

But that’s the thing about names, about energy. In metaphysics, words hold vibration. Names are spells. The ones we speak over ourselves, the ones whispered behind our backs, the ones we haven’t discovered yet. When I was Mxnzi Le Poete, I moved like a wandering artist, carrying the frequency of longing and beautiful wreckage. But the more I learned about intention how it’s not just a wish but a force, a silent architect of reality. I realized I was overdue for an upgrade. Not just in name, but in energy, in purpose, in the way I spoke about myself when nobody was listening.

So I chose Mvaknow. A name charged with movement and knowing, with action and wisdom. A name for someone who understands that this life isn’t linear, it’s a looping, spiraling, glitchy ass simulation where you get to become a new version of yourself as often as you dare. Someone who’s done with accidental living and casual creating. Now it’s intentional. Now it’s alchemy.

And I’m still me. I’ll still debate you about parallel universes over cheap wine. Still write love poems like I’m trying to resurrect the dead. Still believe that the non-physical is the realest thing in the room. But now, the message is sharper. The music’s heavier. The art hits different. I’m no longer just the poet. I’m the observer, the creator, the particle in superposition, collapsing into whatever the hell I decide to be today.

And if you’re reading this? You’re part of the experiment too. You just changed my state by witnessing it.

Welcome to Mvaknow. A name. A frequency. A whole damn vibe bitchhh!
